College Bound

College Bound

Overview

College or trade school is an important step for many of our teens to begin to take their first steps into adulthood, but it can be difficult to know where to start. Through any step of the process, we are here to help! No matter what you’re looking at studying, any teen or young adult that wants to continue their education can receive support through our College Bound program.

Services Offered

College Bound assists students in areas that typically lie outside of the support received through other scholarships/organizations in order to help them to be more prepared and successful in college. Below is a list of all the services that we offer through the College Bound program.

  • Help finding and choosing a quality school
  • Set up and attend college visits with students
  • Assistance in completing college applications
  • Guidance in requesting financial assistance through FAFSA, grants, and scholarships
  • Direction to understand paperwork from schools and what dorm and school supplies are needed

Through the Years

Students begin to work with College Bound when they are in their Junior or Senior year of high school, and can continue to receive support until they graduate college. The program specifically targets students that are the first generation in their family to go beyond a high school education.

Currently, College Bound supports 12 students:

  • 1 Senior
  • 1 Junior
  • 4 Sophomores
  • 6 Freshman
